Project: Community Engagement and Outreach

GS1 is the world’s largest industrial standards body, governing data standards for the global supply chain. For four years, General Creativity led the process of outreach and engagement with stakeholders in the GS1 US community. A key priority was to attract new parties who were actively building emerging technologies like blockchain for supply chain, non-fungible tokens for marketing, metaverse, gaming and fashion. Goals for the engagement included fostering awareness of and support for an update to the 50-year-old standard for industrial UPC barcodes. General Creativity’s Robert Tercek led meetings, conferences, workshops, panel discussions; and produced white papers, blogs and video series.
